RANCANGAN PENGAJARAN MAKRO (MATHEMATICS)

Learning Objectives    : Pupil will be taught to:-
                                       a) Understand multiplication as repeated addition.
                                          (2, 3, 4 and 5 times - tables)
Learning Outcomes     : Pupil will be able to:-
                                        a) Recognise multiplication as repeated addition. 
Resources                    :  Poison Parcel, Power Point, Paper plates,Marbles,Rulers,  
                                        Cassette, Cassette player and Worksheets.

Set Induction
(3 Min)


     Poison parcel,
     Cassette  Player.


· Teacher plays the music on the cassette player.
· Teacher passes the parcel to the pupil.
· Pupil passes it on.
· When the music stops, the pupil concern has to 
   answer a question on addition and reveal to their 
   friends.
· Teacher will give present to the pupil who gives 
  correct answer.
· Teacher asks the pupil to stand in front of the class.
· Teacher asks the pupil to open the box and show to
  their friends.
· Pupils will count the things inside the box.

Repeated addition stories in Power Point Program.

                                        
      2+2+2+2+2=10

           5x2=10


·  Teacher presents the repeated addition stories in the
   Power Point  Program.
·  Pupils write repeated addition mathematical  
   sentences for the relevant stories.
· Teacher introduces multiplication as repeated 
  addition and the relevant mathematical sentences.
· Teacher emphasizes that the symbol for
  multiplication is ‘ X’.

(10 min)

Group work
(Repeated addition stories to form a model using plates and marbles.




·         Teacher divides the pupil in to 3 groups.
·         Provide paper plates,marbles and worksheets to each group.
·         Teacher presents repeated addition stories to each group.
·           Pupil writes the repeated addition sentence and multiplication sentence on the worksheet.
·         Guide pupils to read the repeated addition sentence and multiplication sentence.
